Our school is a place where learning is for life and where we come together to work as a team.

It goes without saying that the Erasmus Frankfurter Stadtschule offers a broad and challenging curriculum. Our decision to offer a nine-year Abitur track means that your children have an extra year to learn and develop. This gives them enough time to broaden their horizons through participation in extracurricular activities – which we believe is absolutely essential to their personal growth.

As a private all-day "G9 Gymnasium" – a nine-year secondary school which offers a programme culminating in the Abitur examination – our classroom and office hours suit the busy lives of today's families. In addition, we apply the latest findings of neuro-biological and physiological research on learning to our teaching approach. Applying the concept of "rhythmisation", we spread lessons evenly throughout the morning and the afternoon. This gives our pupils enough time to review and reinforce new concepts and material individually or in groups, as well as to do independent research and to unwind after phases of strenuous learning.

It is equally important to us that we provide your children guidance and encouragement in developing a European perspective, a sense of social commitment and respect for democratic principles – in keeping with the ideals of Erasmus of Rotterdam, our namesake and a great humanist.

Our teachers work in a team and consider themselves to be educators in the truest sense of the word.

Our teachers work in a team and consider themselves to be educators in the truest sense of the word.

Our teachers view themselves as educators in the truest sense of the word: facilitators of knowledge, promoters of potential, guides and observers of learning and development processes, crafters of an engaging learning environment and fellow learners. They foster our pupils' curiosity, critical thinking and openness – in keeping with the ideals of our namesake, Erasmus of Rotterdam.

Our patron is the Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund, Landesverband Hessen e.V.

The Erasmus Gymnasium is not an elitist private school, but rather a cosmopolitan institution of learning, located right in the heart of Frankfurt. What sets us apart is our social commitment, sound planning, clear structures and a wide diversity of different social classes and cultures. We not only share this worldview with our patron, the Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund, Landesverband Hessen e.V. (ASB), we strive to live by it. Get to know the Erasmus Frankfurter Stadtschule for yourself. You are welcome any time! You can learn more about our sponsor here:
